The Keystone Beard and Moustache Championship was a huge success for the York County Beard Club and NAMI. With more than 300 attendees and 75 competitors, the YBMC was a great success. The contestants competed in five categories, including freestyle categories and specific style categories such as the best Hungarian mustache, the best handlebar mustache, the best goat beard, and the best Verdi beard. There were also more than half a dozen different categories of partial and full beard.
The World Beard and Mustache Association (WBMA) organizes the World Beard and Mustache Championships, a biennial competition in which the best of the best compete for the title of Best Beard in the World. Unless the category includes the word “natural”, the use of styling tools, such as beard balms and waxes, is recommended. If you're a pogonophile or, in simple terms, a beard lover, you'll want to learn more about beard competitions. Students enrolled in charter schools authorized by the South Carolina Public Charter School District or in a higher education institution will receive an additional weight depending on the type of charter school they attend.
The Department of Education, in collaboration with the Education Oversight Committee, is authorized to use data that has already been collected to report on in-state and out-of-state college enrollment, university persistence, and completion of higher education for South Carolina high school graduates. The department will report annually to the Senate Finance Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee, and the South Carolina Conservation Bank on the utilization of funds and the impact of the funds on conservation initiatives in the state of South Carolina. The Council, in collaboration with the University of South Carolina School of Law, will create a training program for the professional development of South Carolina law enforcement personnel. For more than ten years, beard competitions have attracted both beard lovers and curious onlookers to spend a day of food and fun.
The York County National Alliance on Mental Illness helps connect people with mental illness to psychiatrists and therapists. The World Beard and Mustache Championship is a biennial competition organized by the World Beard and Mustache Association (WBMA), in which men with beards and mustaches show long and very stylized facial hair. For the purposes of determining sports classification, competition status, or eligibility, schools with students participating in accordance with this provision must not accumulate or modify their school enrollments due to compliance with this provision. Freestyle with partial beard includes any freestyle beard that is combed with the base facial hair used with the recognizable features of a partial beard and does not fit into the category of freestyle sideburns or freestyle goat beard.
Additional structural materials such as wire, rope or other non-natural materials can be used to hold parts of the beard upright or together.
